Hi there! I’m Vanessa, a 20-something Australian who spends too much time lost in the stars or cleansing crystals. Itchy feet landed me a home in London where I’m attempting to dot around Europe while working as a graphic designer. An interest in wellness and natural remedies lead me to study Reiki earlier this year, and I’ve just begun a nutritional course. My New Year’s resolution for 2016 is to master a handstand in yoga, but I’m yet to have much luck.
Chasing the sun is something I could happily do for a lifetime. Exploring foreign cultures and testing the boundaries of my comfort zone are constant inspiration for new backpacking adventures.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
Travelling by bike through the mountains and lush valleys of far north Vietnam was an unforgettable experience. Squat toilets and cockroaches aside, taking in dramatic landscapes left me in awe of South East Asia.
What is your favourite destination?
What has travel taught you?
Travelling solo has taught me much about communication and perception. It’s humbling to meet people from across the world who have entirely different life experiences, yet somehow share endless common ground. Kindness goes a long way when on the road and people have fascinating stories to tell.
